Watchdog Timing
These are the suggested seconds to start each respective Watchdog delay to get the most efficient timing for monitoring the product(s).
Use the website
time.isto see the exact time down to the second. The three different delays (2K, 3K, and 4K) work together to provide the best spread of monitoring without overcomplicating things.
You don't have to be exact about the actual milliseconds of timing when to start, just in the general start of said second.
2000 MS DELAY
XX:XX:00 XX:XX:02 XX:XX:04 XX:XX:06 XX:XX:08 XX:XX:10 XX:XX:12 XX:XX:14 XX:XX:16 XX:XX:18 XX:XX:20 XX:XX:22 XX:XX:24 XX:XX:26 XX:XX:28 XX:XX:30 XX:XX:32 XX:XX:34 XX:XX:36 XX:XX:38 XX:XX:40 XX:XX:42 XX:XX:44 XX:XX:46 XX:XX:48 XX:XX:50 XX:XX:52 XX:XX:54 XX:XX:56 XX:XX:58
3000 MS DELAY
XX:XX:01 XX:XX:04 XX:XX:07 XX:XX:10 XX:XX:13 XX:XX:16 XX:XX:19 XX:XX:22 XX:XX:25 XX:XX:28 XX:XX:31 XX:XX:34 XX:XX:37 XX:XX:40 XX:XX:43 XX:XX:46 XX:XX:49 XX:XX:52 XX:XX:55 XX:XX:58
4000 MS DELAY
XX:XX:03 XX:XX:07 XX:XX:11 XX:XX:15 XX:XX:19 XX:XX:23 XX:XX:27 XX:XX:31 XX:XX:35 XX:XX:39 XX:XX:43 XX:XX:47 XX:XX:51 XX:XX:55 XX:XX:59
If your proxies are ending up in errors or proxy bans, the 3K + 4K + 5K ms delay trifecta is the alternative.
5000 MS DELAY
XX:XX:00 XX:XX:05 XX:XX:10 XX:XX:15 XX:XX:20 XX:XX:25 XX:XX:30 XX:XX:35 XX:XX:40 XX:XX:45 XX:XX:50 XX:XX:55
OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT RUNNING WATCHDOGS
You do not have to run either of the listed trifectas; everybody's setup will be different.
Sometimes you don't want to run 10+ Watchdogs for just one site, or you're limited by the number of proxies you have. Simply running 1 or 2 Watchdogs at whatever delays you yourself find suitable with your own testing is more than fine.
If you want to have the Watchdog ping at the exact XX:XX:00 of a drop or any seconds after the drop, reference each second that each Watchdog delay will hit on. So if you want to hit right on the hour (XX:XX:00), you will use the 2000-ms delay Watchdog; if you want to ping 1 second after the hour (XX:XX:01), you will use the 3000-ms delay Watchdog, and so on.
You can start the 3000 ms, 4000 ms, and 5000 ms delays at (XX:XX:00) as well or any time; just take into account how many seconds it will then ping and work off of that. This is just the recommended trifecta.
Feel free to experiment with your delays (i.e., 2500, 3500, 4500, 2250, etc.) and see what works best for your setup. It's just much easier with 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 to work off as it's difficult to account for the actual milliseconds on startup.
There is a small delay when starting tasks.
When monitoring most sites, the 2K + 3K + 4K combo covers 83.33% of a minute and hits the main seconds to monitor on any timed drops before and after. However, some sites work better (i.e., with fewer proxy bans) with a 3K + 4K + 5K delay combo.
Running at a 1000 ms delay is strongly discouraged because it increases the likelihood of your proxies being banned or throttled on any site and causing errors; even 2000 ms delays are pushing it.
